Kelli Carmean has chosen a Kentucky pasture slated for development as the setting for her book, Creekside, in which the interwoven story lines “link artifact and place, ancestors and descendants, past and present, and inspire us to explore the personal connections between them all in fresh and vital ways.” Richard W. Jefferies, University of Kentucky, offered a review, “In many ways, Creekside is as much about a sense of place as it is about people.” She is a local author and Professor of Anthropology at Eastern Kentucky University.
